Monday October 31st 2016 starts at 5 PM (limited to 6 students only) Cost of the workshop is $325 (payment link is below)
At this workshop you will have unprecedented press credentials to photograph and circulate inside the Parade. We will gather beforehand, have a creative meeting going over the ground rules. Two shooters may work as a team. Each person can alternate between being the photographer and being an assistant to the other photographer, helping the other set up the photograph when possible. You will have a unique opportunity to be part of the creative process as well as a possible opportunity for your work to be published. We will discuss how to work on the fly in a situation such as a parade or in a crowd. You will be instructed on how to quickly set-up a photograph and do an environmental portrait, how to use fill flash, and how to work in low light situations. Which lenses work best for what? We’ll go over how to remove distracting backgrounds and make your photos stronger. You will become a photojournalist that evening and who knows the experience may change the way you see and photograph forever.
